Sponsored Triathlete Tristan Harrison (Twisty) finishes first in the 20-24yr category at Kurnell last weekend. It was the NSW Qualifying for the 2013 Worlds. Tristan didn't just win, he smashed his PB from the previous year. True champion, congratulations from all of us at Corecarbon!!! Race report below and check out the winning grin!!

Hey Corecarbon,

I raced on the weekend using the 58s at Kurnell. It was the nsw qualifying event for 2013 world's. I had close to the perfect race, I am glad to tell you.
I finished 1st in the 20-24 category in 1:03:37. I finished 9th overall in the entire field of 600. that was the fastest time i have ever done for any sp4int triathlon by 1min. 6 minutes off last years time (freakishly 2 minutes off each leg roughly) Was so glad tp have the gear.

This did not intimidate the young triathlete and he finishad an outstanding 14th braking some PBs in the process riding on our 58/85 wheelset. Great job mate!!!! He's got a bright future so keep an eye out for this young triathlete from Orange, NSW.

Another Happy cyclist!!

Thanks Alex for the great feed back and pics of your Oppy and new 38s. We are stocked your loving them!!

" You will be glad to know I'm absolutely blown away by the 38s. They have been an absolute joy to ride. There are great to climb with. Braking is spot on. Crosswinds, no issues either. In fact, the 38s don't seem to be affected by crosswinds as much as my old Ksyriums, and the Ksyriums isn't even aero! "

New Team Sponsorship - TasVend/Boutique Bikes Cycling Team

Share this post Twitter Facebook Tumblr Email Posted July 08, 2012

We are excited to announce our 2012 sponsorship of a Tasmanian team "TasVend / Boutique Bikes Cycling Team". The team will be racing in the Subaru National Road series and a number Tassie state races. I was chuffed when contacted by Rob Cumine (Team Manger) asking to team up. There is an untapped pool of talented junior riders in Tassie and it feels fantastic to be a part of junior development program which is helping them to reach their full potential and launch into a cycling carrier. We wish the team the best of luck for 2012.

Nicole Whitburn dominates and another win for the 38s.

Congratulations Nicole Whitburn - LivGiant Womens Cycling team. Nicole won the Womens A Grade @ Phillip Island Grand Prix Saturday May 12. Riding our 38s Nicole got the better of her competitors and laid down her signature explosive power and speed to take the win in a sprint finish. After the race Nicole was all smiles and told me what a massive fan she is of the 38s, loved the stiffness and how they climbed. Nicole was also impressed with how responsive the braking was in the tricky wet conditions. Thanks Nicole for racing on Corecarbon.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT, CHRIS...

Hi Corecarbon,

Thanks for the loan of these wheels over the last week or so.

Having used them on easy road rides and a couple of crit races my impression of the wheels is very positive they are fast, have great road feel and I was impressed with the confident brake response in the wet.

The biggest thumbs up I can give though is the instant speed and power response, especially when jumping out of tight corners such as turns 2 and 4 at SKCC’s crit circuit. Having only ridden alloy rims I found this difference profound, I also found the stiffness that gives this great response does not detract from the ride quality.

I’ve rated the experience high enough to order a set, so let me know how you’d like to progress from here.

Congrat’s on what you guys have achieved and good luck with the journey from here.

Cheers,

Chris
